How to use a Butlin’s family break grant
Find out everything you need to know about our family break grants with Butlin's, including how to use them and wider questions you may have.
When you are awarded a family break grant with Butlin’s you will get an award letter in the post. You can then phone their team to check availability for dates, ask any questions about how to tailor your break to your family and make a booking, on 0330 102 5290*. When you call, let them know you have a grant through Family Fund and they’ll ask a couple of questions to verify who you are. Their opening hours are Monday to Sunday, 9:00am to 9:00pm.
You can use part, or all, of your grant award towards your break. You can also use up to £100 of your grant on Butlin’s vouchers to spend at one of their resorts (in the shops, restaurants or bars at the resort).
Please note that your family break must include your child’s main carer and the child you applied for. Additional family members and/or carers can also be included in the booking.
Frequently asked questions
How long is my Butlin’s grant valid for?
You must make a booking within six months of receiving your family break grant. If a booking has not been made within that time, or if there are any unused funds on your grant, these will be returned to Family Fund.
What if my child requires a more specialised break?
If you, or a member of your party, has additional needs, including mobility or access, it is essential you let Butlin’s know when you book. Please call their dedicated team on 0330 100 9334*.
What if I don’t want to spend all of my grant on one break?
You can only book one unit of accommodation per break but you can spread the value of your grant across as many breaks as you like. Please just tell Butlin’s how you would like to do this. If it poses any challenges for you, their team is on hand to look for a solution for you.
Can someone book my break on my behalf?
Your grant can only be used by the person whose name is listed against the grant. This information is shared by Family Fund with Butlin’s, and cross-checked when you make your booking.
Can I combine my grant with other discounts and promotions?
You can combine your grant with marketing codes or offers. This might be an offer on the Butlin’s website or a code you have seen online. Please note that you can’t combine your grant with third party promotions, such as Tesco Clubcard or The Sun Holidays.
Can I use my grant on any break or event at Butlin’s?
You can use your grant on any Butlin’s family break or Just for Tots break (exclusively for families with a child aged five-years-old or younger) However you can’t use your grant on an adult only event, or any event that is held at Butlin’s but not run by them (for example, Solus events). Please contact Butlin’s to check that your dates are available before booking.
What if I need to cancel my break?
It may not always be possible to cancel your break, but you can call Butlin’s to talk through your circumstances. The grant value used on your break will be refunded to Family Fund and held for you with Butlin’s, until the six month expiry passes. You can spend this on another break with Butlin’s during this time.
