Find out how to use our garden improvement grants.
The garden improvement grants are awarded via BACS payment then you arrange any works you need, with any contractor you choose.
When you get a grant, you’ll receive an email asking you to send us your bank details, with information on how to do this. We can only process your grant when we have these.
Please keep receipts of all garden works you’ve done for 12 months, from the date you bought your items, as we may write and ask you for them.

You must use your grant within 12 months from the date of your Family Fund award letter.
Yes. If the total bill is more than your grant amount, you will need to pay the difference, with your own money. You must also keep all your receipts, as usual.
You will need to please deal directly with the contractor who carried out your garden works.
