Stone is our contract provider for computers and tablets. These awards can only be provided through this supplier and we cannot consider a cash alternative. Your award must be used within three months from the date on your award letter.

How to use your grant

You can order your computer or tablet online, over the phone or simply wait for Stone to call you. Stone will call you within 7 working days to discuss your requirements.  If you have not had a call from Stone within 7 days please call them on 01785 786736.  


Please visit our order website to use your computer or tablet grant online.

Your award letter will include your unique 7 digit reference number.  Follow the link above and enter this number to be automatically directed to the relevant portal. You can use the portal to browse the different models available. Select your item and click ‘order now’ to add to your basket. If the item you would like is not showing on the portal please call Stone on 01785 786 736.

Your desktop or laptop is supplied with a three-year warranty and insurance covering; technical faults, accidental damage and theft.

The tablet will be supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty which may not cover accidental damage and theft so you might want to consider purchasing additional cover.

All documents will be included when you receive your computer or tablet, or preloaded onto the device. Please read these carefully and keep for future reference.

With all warranties it is important to note that deliberate damage or damage caused by general wear and tear will not be covered under the terms of the warranty. Family Fund will not be able to help with the costs of repairs that fall outside the terms of warranty, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Delivery of your computer or tablet

If you have moved address since your award you will need to call Family Fund on 01904 550055 to update your address before Stone can rearrange delivery.

Your computer or tablet will be delivered within 14 days of you placing your order. Stone will contact you to arrange your delivery. If the carrier has been unable to deliver your computer or tablet they will post a card through your door. If this happens you will need to contact the carrier directly to make further delivery arrangements. You can also use the click and collect service, please speak to Stone for more information.

If you need technical support once your computer or tablet has been delivered please call Stone on 01785 786 883. Opening times are 9am – 8pm; Monday to Friday. 10am – 5pm; Saturday and Sunday. Stone provide a help line for software support for the life of your computer.

Other information about your Stone grant

If the item you would like is not offered by Stone as part of one of their standard packages you can call them on 01785 786 736 and they will discuss alternatives with you. If the item you would like is more expensive than the award you have been given you will need to pay the additional costs when you place the order.
