Coding Superstars: Perfect Poetry Generator

Perfect Poetry Generator is a short video where we will be using the Micro:Bit website to create our poetry using block coding, creating random phrases that you can use in a poem, as a password or to start a story!

What you’ll need

To generate your own poetry, you will need to access the FREE to use website Micro:bit – an online coding tool which is available to use on any phone, tablet or computer.

Note: You don’t need to have an actual Micro:Bit device – the Micro:bit website has a built-in emulator on screen!

Show us your work

Once you have created your own poetry, you can send it to the Family Fund team using an app called Showbie. Showbie is a tool that allows you to join a virtual classroom and show off your amazing creations.

Ask a grown up to help you set up a Showbie account and join our virtual class using code: EEZYC4.

Additional challenge

Now that you have an understanding of how to generate poetry using Micro:Bit, show us your best efforts and maybe try to create a whole story!

Send your stories to us through Showbie and we’ll take a look at how amazing they are and send you some lovely feedback. You may even see some of our favourites on the Family Fund social media channels!
