Coding Superstars: Doodling Robots

Showcase your artistic skills by coding the VR Robot to draw a house. Using what we found out from the last session, we will explore how we can use the pen tool and the loops function to draw shapes and even draw a house!

What you’ll need

To create your own Doodling Robots, you will need to access the FREE to use website VexCode – an online coding tool which is available to use on any phone, tablet or computer.

Show us your work

Once you have created your own Doodling Robots using VexCode, you can send it to the Family Fund team using an app called Showbie. Showbie is a tool that allows you to join a virtual classroom and show off your amazing creations.

Ask a grown up to help you set up a Showbie account and join our virtual class using code: EEZYC4.

Additional challenge

Now that you have an understanding of how to use VexCode, show us your best efforts and see if you can create another doodling character!

Send in your best doodling character through Showbie and we’ll take a look at how amazing they are and send you some lovely feedback. You may even see some of our favourites on the Family Fund social media channels!
