Coding Superstars: Level up your gaming

Learn to create an arcade-style jumping game in Scratch where a character can jump over obstacles to score points, using the secret coding gravity that makes characters jump up and realistically fall back down.

What you’ll need

To create your own jumping game game, you will need to access the FREE to use website Scratch – an online coding tool which is available to use on any phone, tablet or computer. 

Show us your work

Once you have created your own jumping game in Scratch, you can send it to the Family Fund team using an app called Showbie. Showbie is a tool that allows you to join a virtual classroom and show off your amazing creations.

Ask a grown up to help you set up a Showbie account and join our virtual class using code: EEZYC4.

Additional challenge

Now that you have an understanding of how to create a game in Scratch, show us your best efforts and create a different type of game!
