Personal Independence Payment (PIP) can help with extra living costs if you have both a long-term physical or mental health condition or disability and difficulty doing certain everyday tasks or getting around because of your condition.

What is Personal Independence Payment (PIP)?

Personal independence payment (PIP) is a government benefit available for eligible people, aged between 16 and 66 years old. It is for people living in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland who have an illness or disability that affects their day-to-day life. For example, they may be unable to work.

PIP, is not means tested so it does not matter what your household income is or what savings and assets you have.
