What is a benefits calculator?

You can use a benefits calculator to find out which benefits you may be entitled to claim. You’ll need to fill in an online form which takes around 10 minutes. Before you start to use the calculator, it is useful to have the following ready:

  • your current benefits information
  • your recent bank statements
  • information about your housing costs (this would be your rent or mortgage payments, regular bills and council tax band)


If you have a partner who lives with you, we will need to know answers for them too.
