Join Family Fund as a Research admin support volunteer and help us hear directly from families raising disabled or seriously ill children.
About the role
As a Research Admin Support Volunteer, you’ll support our Research and Evaluation team to deliver surveys with families and make sure as many voices as possible are heard. You might:
Contact families via phone or text to remind them about surveys
Carry out surveys over the phone in a warm and supportive way
Input survey responses into our systems
Help organise and send thank-you vouchers to families
Support the team to reach more families and improve response rates
This is a flexible, ongoing role, typically around half a day to one day a week. You can volunteer from home or from our York office, and expenses will be reimbursed where applicable.
About you
You don’t need to be a research expert, just someone who is reliable, friendly, and committed to helping families share their experiences. You might be:
A confident communicator who’s comfortable speaking on the phone
Organised and able to manage simple admin tasks
Comfortable using tools like Excel or SharePoint (or willing to learn)
Interested in research, surveys, or improving services for families
Passionate about supporting families raising disabled or seriously ill children
Even if you only have a few hours a week, your support will help make sure families’ experiences are heard and understood.
