Great North Run event volunteer – Newcastle Upon Tyne

Help support and encourage runners at the Great North Run while raising awareness for Family Fund during this inspiring community event.

About the role

You will join our team along the Great North Run route and help create an energetic and supportive environment for every runner. As well as supporting our runners, you will speak with supporters and event attendees to share simple information about Family Fund.

Volunteers will be based in Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields during the event. You will be part of a supportive volunteer group that enjoys being involved in a major community event.

About you

You enjoy cheering, supporting others, and bringing energy to busy events. You feel confident when engaging with people and speaking positively about our work. You are friendly, enthusiastic, and happy to join a team environment. You enjoy outdoor events and want to support a meaningful cause. You do not need event experience, and we will support you throughout the day.
