The role
We are looking for a full-time Bids and Contracts Manager, to manage the end-to-end bid process on a permanent basis.
In this role you will research, identify and lead on all tender opportunities as part of the FFBS strategy. You will be responsible for writing compelling applications that enables FFBS to win more business and exceed income targets.
You will work with Business Development and Client Relations colleagues on new and existing contracts to ensure alignment to fulfilment agreements and terms and conditions.
If you join us, you’ll be:
- Developing a detailed bids and tenders plan and pipeline across three main sectors of interest to support strategic growth plans.
- Conducting market research and client needs assessments to identify new business opportunities.
- Leading the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive bids, tenders and proposals and coordinate the entire bid management process.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts to develop bid strategies, and co-ordinating the collection of documents, data and support from internal departments to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Working with Business Development and Client Relations to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets.
- Monitoring performance metrics and analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Working with colleagues to negotiate contracts terms, conditions and pricing with clients and serving as a liaison during negotiations.
- Drafting, reviewing and amending contracts to accurately reflect terms and conditions.
About you
For this role you must have experience of bid and tender pipeline management and of monitoring and negotiating contracts. You must also have significant experience of researching and writing detailed and compelling proposals, along with a proven track record in meeting income targets.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. You will need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a full understanding of the bid lifecycle and of business development and sales processes. You will be able to present complex information clearly and persuasively, with excellent communication skills and an ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Finally, you will have excellent organisation and time management skills with an ability to work successfully to deadlines. You will have a tenacious approach to securing sales/income, and you will be results-driven.
