Our vision is to have a culture where we acknowledge, and celebrate, all differences so our staff, volunteers, and the families we support feel safe and free to be themselves, always. We fundamentally believe in equity and inclusion. These beliefs and our values will influence all that we do: We are supportive, connected, passionate, and determined.

At Family Fund, we are committed to creating a culture that holds diversity and inclusion at the heart of everything we do and to establishing an environment that champions equity for us all, making sure we are all treated fairly and reach our personal potential.

How will we achieve our vision

We will achieve our vision by making sure we focus on inclusion in all we do. Particularly, we want to ensure a welcoming working culture and make sure our grants and services are accessible for all.

Moreover, we will measure and share our progress each year, and we will be transparent in how we do this. The governance of our inclusion work is overseen by our trustees.

A welcoming working culture

For us, it means we will build a diverse and inclusive culture across our Group where people feel safe to be themselves.

We will become an even more diverse team and will proactively demonstrate inclusion in our interactions with staff, potential recruits and all our partners. Similarly, we want to be the best employer we can be for disabled people, and will learn with other organisations to do so. We want everyone to feel welcome, included, empowered and confident to be themselves every day.

Accessible grants and services for all

We will ensure we are accessible and responsive to all. This means we will enhance the support we offer for people who experience barriers to accessing services and improve the accessibility of our digital information and services.

In our organisation and in our work, we commit to seeing people how they see themselves, so that we engage, communicate and support people in a way that respects diversity.

Colleague feedback and staff views

At Family Fund we encourage and welcome staff views. Indeed, diversity brings variety of thought and this is encouraged in all that we do.

Our inclusion champions have an important role to play as they:

• Lead and support conversations to make sure we challenge ourselves and hold ourselves to account
