The role
We are looking for an Audit Assistant to join the Internal Assurance Audit Team on a temporary basis.
As Audit Assistant you will support Audit Officers with the administration tasks linked to the delivery of the Annual Audit Schedule. You will also provide accurate and timely administration to support the completion of other Internal Audit work.
This role is a great opportunity for a candidate with general administration experience to develop their knowledge of internal audit work in rewarding working environment.
If you join us, you’ll be:
- Providing administration support to the Audit Officers, including general administrative tasks, telephony duties (where appropriate) and email management.
- Communicating in a professional and timely manner with families and third parties adhering to process and brand guidelines and department timescales.
- Escalating queries appropriately to relevant colleagues in line with department processes and guidelines.
- Supporting the Internal Audit Team in suggesting improvements to processes.
- Ensuring all Audit work is recorded in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Assisting in the administrative tasks required in the preparation of Business and Board reports, as required.
About you
For this role you should have good general administration experience. You will be fully competent in Microsoft Office packages. You will have good critical reasoning, logical problem solving and analytical skills. You will have the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, by email or telephone.
