Research

As a charity we work together with the families we support to produce research sharing their views and experiences. We ensure their voices sit at the heart of everything we do.

We do research to better understand and showcase, the daily lives and the challenges families raising a disabled or seriously ill child face.

Our team undertakes regular research surveys and polls, as well as one-to-one interviews to gather up to date findings. We also partner with other organisations carrying out related research.

We use research findings to continue to develop the grants, services and wider support we provide. This helps us to make sure we are properly meeting families’ needs. We also develop research reports to provide our partners, and the general public, valuable sources of information and experience.

The cost of caring

Our research shows that UK families raising disabled, or seriously ill, children and young people are now facing serious financial jeopardy and struggling to survive, due to the scale of the cost-of-living crisis.
