During this webinar, we’ll hear personal experiences from past supported interns and employers. We’ll see how all benefited from the internship. We’ll also hear from a government representative explaining what the government is doing to support more young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) into work.
Supported internships are study programmes. They are for young people, aged 16 to 24, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and want to move into employment but need extra support.
This free webinar is particularly designed for all parents, carers, (including foster and adoptive parents).

Supported internship provide work experience for young people with disabilities so they can gain skills and develop in confidence.
Supported internships give young people an opportunity to take their first steps into the world of employment, build skills, gain qualifications, and use these to get a paid job. A key element of a supported internship is a substantial work placement, facilitated by the support of an expert job coach.
