Holiday Activities and Food programme or HAF gives eligible children the opportunity to access free activities and food over the Christmas, Easter and summer school holidays.
The HAF programme is funded by the Department for Education. Since 2022, the HAF programme has provided 10.7 million HAF days to children and young people across England.
The HAF programme provides free activities and lunch through activity clubs throughout Christmas, Easter and summer holidays.
Activity clubs will include a variety of fun activities, including sports, music, and arts. Children and young people will also receive a nutritious meal at each session. There will be nutritional education for the child and their family.
How can holiday, activities and food (HAF) help?
To be eligible for a free place, children must receive benefits-related free school meals or have special educational needs or a disability (SEND).
