Who is Child Brain Injury Trust? 

The Child Brain Injury Trust was established by a group of health professionals in 1991 to research and provide information regarding the effects of ‘traumatic’ injury on a child’s developing brain.

The Child Brain Injury Trust is the leading voluntary sector organisation providing emotional and practical support, information and learning opportunities for families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury across the UK.

They work across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and have a dedicated team of professional staff and volunteers who give their expertise, commitment and energy every day. 

How do Child Brain Injury Trust help? 

Child Brain Injury Trust provide information, support and training to anyone affected by childhood acquired brain injury. This includes the child or young person themselves, their family and the professionals that support them.

They have produced a number of Factsheets about acquired brain injury which you can access for free.

The Child Brain Injury Trust has created a network of regional partnerships to ensure that the children, young people and families that we work with get the right legal support as soon as possible. This can cover a wide range of topics, from assisting with pursuing a claim for welfare benefits or compensation to understanding what your employment rights are if you need to take time off work to care for your child.
