Make a social story: Navigating travel
- Time:
- 10.30am to 11.30am
- Location:
- Online via Zoom
Using public transport as a family can sometimes feel overwhelming. Changes in routine, unexpected delays and the sensory overload of a bustling bus or train can turn a simple trip into a stressful experience. In this workshop, we will show you how you can use Canva, a free, easy to use design tool, to design a personalised social story to help your child or young person know what to expect when travelling. We will explore how you can use photos, videos, voiceovers and music to make your journeys as easy as possible.
We’ll use the free Canva website (or app) during the workshop to create a social story to help your child or young person prepare for a new school year. Canva is available on any device (iPad, Android tablet, smartphone, laptop or PC).
Come along if you can on Friday 24 July at 10:30am to 11:30am.
