Coding Superstars: Jolly Jokers

Jolly Jokers is a short video designed to use Scratch to create characters who tell jokes! We'll use block coding to make our characters move and tell jokes using the speech blocks.

What you’ll need

To create your own Jolly jokers, you will need to access the FREE to use website Scratch – an online coding tool which is available to use on any phone, tablet or computer. 

Show us your work

Once you have created your own Jolly jokers, you can send it to the Family Fund team using an app called Showbie. Showbie is a tool that allows you to join a virtual classroom and show off your amazing creations.

Ask a grown up to help you set up a Showbie account and join our virtual class using code: EEZYC4.

Additional challenge

Now that you have an understanding of how to be a Jolly Joker, show us your best efforts and submit the best joke that you know!

Send in your best Jolly Joke through Showbie and we’ll take a look at how amazing they are and send you some lovely feedback. You may even see some of our favourites on the Family Fund social media channels!
