Android workshop: Make it work for you

We are hosting a workshop on Friday 18 September to help you learn how to use the accessibility features on your Android device to support your child’s needs.

In this workshop we will cover:

• how to download and use Android Accessibility Suite from Google Play
• using the zoom feature to make text larger, so it’s easier to read 
• changing the text and screen colour for easier comprehension  
• setting up your device to talk directly to you 
• setting up other spoken content features, like dictation (so your device will write for you) 

Join the ‘Make it work for you’ workshop on Friday 18 September at 10.30am – 11.30am. 

The workshop is held online via Zoom with an experienced trainer and a member of staff from the Family Fund team. 

Please note:

• This is a friendly and informal workshop for parents and carers.
• You’ll need to have an android device to take part in the workshop activities.
• To keep your device free to use during the workshop, you will need to join the Zoom call on another device, such as a smartphone or laptop.
