Meet one of our 2026 London Marathon runners, Josh

This weekend, Joshua Halliday will be bravely running 26 miles to raise money for Family Fund at the 2026 London Marathon. Josh works at Axcis Education Recruitment, who have made Family Fund their charity of the year.

We asked Josh about why he’s chosen to fundraise for us, how he’s planning to motivate himself through the challenge and his top running tips:

“I’ve chosen to run for Family Fund because of my work in the SEN sector, where I’ve seen first-hand the challenges faced by families supporting disabled young adults. Being able to help ease some of the pressures they face, and support those who give so much every day, gives me a powerful reason to run.

When I hit the difficult moments—especially that 20-mile “wall”—I’ll remind myself why I started. The challenge of the run is nothing compared to the realities many disabled young people and their families face, and that perspective will keep me going.

My top training tip is to stay positive and trust the process. Progress isn’t always obvious, but every run is building strength and resilience, even when it doesn’t feel like it.”
