Family Fund Group scoops international compliance award
We’re thrilled to announce that our Risk and Compliance team have been crowned winners of the “Small Compliance Team of the Year Non-Financial Services” award in the 2025 International Compliance Association Awards.
The ceremony took place in London on Thursday 26 June and celebrated outstanding achievements, collaboration, and innovation of compliance teams across Europe.
Family Fund was the only charity shortlisted against major international companies.
“Thrilled to have been recognised”
Samantha Faddy, our Group Director of Internal Assurance said:
“Winning this award is a testament not just to the excellence of our risk and compliance team as part of our wider internal assurance team, it also confirms the dedication of the whole organisation to a culture of compliance. This is especially important with the sensitivity of the information Family Fund securely holds on the families we support. We ensure all staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to maintain high standards of compliance in everything we do.
“The breadth of Family Fund Trust and Family Fund Business Service’s operations mean that our group juggles several different regulators and countless wider obligations. We always look for pragmatic solutions to make sure we’re enablers, not blockers. We’re absolutely thrilled to have been recognised in such a highly competitive category.”
Achievements in compliance
Some of the team’s key achievements over the past year include:
Successful transition of its data protection workload to an industry-leading platform, providing guided processes and enhanced reporting.
Production of a comprehensive but accessible induction and annual training programme for the organisation.
The team was heavily involved in the design of a new small grant fund distribution process, including development of assurance measures to prevent fraud and protect funds.
Data protection training and engagement leading to a 13% reduction in data incidents in 2023/24 compared to 2022/23, with a reduction expected again for 2024/25. No reportable data breaches have occurred in any of those years.
This award recognises the behind-the-scenes excellence that helps us reach thousands of families every year. If you’d like to support our mission to deliver practical help to those who need it most, please donate now or get in touch to learn more.
