Are you getting together to cheer on Team GB’s amazing athletes this summer? The fun begins on Friday 26 July with the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony. Then the Paralympic Games picks up the baton on Wednesday 28 August.
It’s the perfect opportunity to have fun with friends, family and colleagues and raise a few quid to support families raising disabled and seriously ill children.
How to get involved
If you’re gathering to watch the games, why not be a good sport and use your event to generate a bit of cash for that extra feel-good factor?
Family Fund’s fundraising pack contains everything you need to make a big difference, with fun ideas to get you started:
Sell some snacks at your watch party
Use the collection box included in the Family Fund fundraising pack to ask your guests for a little donation in exchange for some snacks and drinks at your get together.
Have a workplace sports screening social
Cheer on TeamGB at work by organising a lunchtime screening social with colleagues and asking for a small donation to join in.
Organise a sports sweepstake
Get into the competitive spirit and see who triumphs when you challenge friends and family to predict the winners. Set a small entry price that works for everyone and donate it via our website.
Hold a fun sports day
Your event can be accessible and suited to everyone’s ability, so no need to copy the professionals… Welly wanging and plate spinning should be Olympic sports anyway, right?
