Top tips for fun and healthy gaming & streaming

Taking on a Family Fund gaming fundraising or charity streaming challenge is exciting – but we know it can sometimes mean long hours in front of a screen. At Family Fund, we care just as much about your wellbeing as we do about the funds you raise.

Here are some simple, family-friendly tips to help you enjoy your challenge, stay safe and feel good along the way.

Take regular breaks

It can be tempting to keep playing or streaming non-stop, but giving yourself short breaks makes all the difference. Step away from the screen, stretch, and move around to keep your body and mind refreshed.

Stay hydrated and fuelled

Keep water and healthy snacks close by. Staying hydrated and eating little and often helps you stay focused and energised, whether you’re gaming, dancing or hosting a quiz.

Make it social

Fundraising is more fun together. Invite friends or family to join you – either online or in person – so you can share the challenge, cheer each other on, and make memories as well as money.

Set time limits that work for you

Remember, Family Fund gaming fundraising and streaming is about enjoyment, not endurance. Choose a time limit that feels comfortable, whether that’s 30 minutes, an afternoon, or a few sessions spread across the week.

Celebrate your achievement
