Family Fund Gaming – power up your fundraising

Level up your fundraising! Take on gaming challenges with Family Fund and support disabled and seriously ill children across the UK.

Gaming is for everyone – consoles, PCs, tablets, or dance mats. By starting a Family Fund gaming fundraising challenge, you can have fun, get creative and raise money to help disabled and seriously ill children.

There are so many ways you can get involved. Whether you’re into marathon play sessions, building challenges, or quick creative bursts, we’d love to hear your ideas and follow your journey. If you need some inspiration, here are a few to get you started.

Fun ways to game for good

There are endless ways to get involved:

Gameathon!

Pick your favourite game and set a time that feels right for you. It could be an hour, a few matches or an afternoon session. Ask supporters to sponsor you per round, milestone or score, and share your updates as you go.

Blocktastic!

Love Minecraft or Roblox? Set a creative build challenge – the tallest tower, the silliest Lava Chicken, or the most detailed world in a set time. Share screenshots or stream progress, and ask for donations to cheer you on.

Dance (Mat)ters!

Prefer dancing to gaming? Host your own dance-a-thon with a favourite dance game. Friends or family can join in for a small donation. You’ll raise funds while keeping fit and proving that dance really does matter.

Smaller screen ideas

Not all gaming happens on big consoles. Try Canva to design artwork or comics in exchange for donations. Got a budding game designer in the house? Use Scratch or Micro:bit to code a brand-new game for good, and let friends donate to unlock levels. Or host a fun online quiz with donations as entry fees and plenty of laughs as the prize.
