Talk Money Week: small steps to manage money more confidently
This Talk Money Weekwe’re supporting families to take small steps towards feeling more confident managing their money.
Discover how free online workshops can help families build practical digital skills, explore ways to save and make the most of household budgets.
Talking about money isn’t always easy, especially when you’re juggling the significant additional costs and responsibilities that can come with raising a disabled or seriously ill child.
With household budgets under pressure, knowing where to find support and how to make money go further can make a real difference.
That’s why we’re supporting Talk Money Week from 2 to 6 November. An annual campaign organised by the Money and Pensions Service, it encourages people across the UK to have more open conversations about their finances. This year’s theme, It All Counts, highlights how even small actions can help you feel more confident and in control of your money.
Build your financial confidence with Discover Digital
Managing household finances can feel overwhelming. But you don’t have to work everything out on your own.
Our free Discover Digital Income Boosters workshops help parents and carers develop practical digital skills to manage their money, access financial support and explore opportunities to save.
The workshops are friendly, informal and designed to help you learn at your own pace. You don’t need any previous experience or specialist equipment to take part, and you’re welcome to simply watch and listen if that’s what feels most comfortable.
After attending our online finance workshops, 92% of parents said they felt more confident managing their finances.
One parent shared how attending a workshop helped them access support:
“The sign-up process for the workshop was easy and attending the workshop on Zoom was fine. It allowed me to attend and supervise my son at the same time. I would definitely recommend the workshops to others.”
