What Is Payroll Giving? 

Payroll Giving (sometimes known as Give As You Earn) is a way of giving money to charity without paying tax on it from your salary. It must be paid through Pay As You Earn (PAYE) from someone’s wages or pension.

How much does it cost to donate through Payroll Giving?

You can make a regular tax-free donation to Family Fund that is taken from your gross (pre-tax) salary? This means you can give more to us at no extra cost.

Payroll Giving lets employees donate directly from their gross pay, meaning: 

• A £10 donation costs just £8 for a standard rate taxpayer (less if you pay a higher rate of tax) 
• Family Fund receives the full £10 amount 
• Employees can start, stop or change donations anytime

How to Get Started 

Your employer needs to run a Payroll Giving scheme before donations can start being taken from your salary.

Over 4,000 companies already offer a Payroll Giving scheme. Chances are you work at a company who already offers Payroll Giving as a staff benefit. 

If your company doesn’t currently offer Payroll Giving or you are not sure, you can still complete the start making a donation form and we will contact your employer directly to get this sorted.
