About the programme

Providing full-time care for a loved one who is disabled or has a serious illness can be physically and emotionally demanding. The Worcestershire Carer Support programme can help by providing a £420 cash grant for items or services to make caring easier, or to give you a break so you can rest and recharge.

Who is eligible for a grant?

You can apply for a grant if you can answer “yes” to ALL of the criteria below:

I live in Worcestershire (you can use the postcode checker at the bottom of this page to check your address is in the eligible area).
I am aged 25+.
I provide full-time care for adult relative (eg husband, wife, dependent child aged 25+) who lives in the same household as me.
The person I care for has a permanent physical disability, learning disability or long-term serious illness that requires a high level of personal support.
The person I care for receives at least one of these benefits: Disability Living Allowance, PIP, Attendance Allowance.
I am retired OR in receipt of benefits OR in employment on a low income.

By phone

You can call Family Fund’s special Worcestershire Carer Support line on 01904 550044 and we will take your application details over the phone.

By post

Print off the application form. Send your completed form in a stamped addressed envelope to:

Other important information

Grants are subject to funding availability and applications will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis, so please apply early to avoid disappointment. The application window will close when all funding has been allocated. Grants are limited to one per eligible household.

If you are awarded a grant, we may ask you to provide confirmation of details that you have given us in your application form, or for proof of purchase to show how you have spent your grant.
