Essex and Suffolk Water’s Social Tariff is called a low income discount, an affordability scheme intended to support households struggling with water and wastewater charges.

Who could the Essex and Suffolk Water Social Tariff help?

Essex and Suffolk Water customers in Essex, Suffolk, some of the inner and Greater London Boroughs, and surrounding areas, may be able to apply for support if:

• If your total household income is less than £30,000, and your annual water and sewerage bill is more than 4% of your net household income (after housing costs, rent or mortgage payments)

or 

• If someone in your household receives Pension Credit, and your annual water and sewerage bill is 4% or more of your net household income (after housing costs, rent or mortgage payments)
