This summer, help us support disabled and seriously ill children while having fun out in the sun!
We’ve put together an A-Z list of fundraising ideas especially for the summertime. From game days and sponsored nature walks to raffles and snack stalls, there’s lots of ideas to inspire your summer fundraising.
A – Accessible games day
Organise an inclusive afternoon of fun, with games for all abilities. Think Jenga, snakes and ladders and more. Invite your friends and family to join in the fun!
B – Brew and a Break
Gather your friends and colleagues for our wholesome fundraiser, Brew and a Break. Whether you organise a bake swap or have a break at work, sit back with a cuppa while raising money for families with disabled or seriously ill children.
Brew and a BreakC – Crafts
Are you a passionate painted or a crafty crocheter? Let your creativity go wild and sell something homemade.
D – Digital challenge
There are lots of easy ways to make a big impact from your home. Stream your favourite game, host a virtual quiz, or run an online fundraiser – the online limit is your internet. Reach out to our team for tips and advice.
E – eBay
Do you have a bunch of old clutter lying around the house? Old clothes, shoes that don’t fit, or electricals that are out of date? Head over to eBay and donate a percentage of your sale to Family Fund.
F – Family picnic in the park
Invite your family and friends for a community picnic. Get in touch to ask us for a collection tin, and raise funds so more families can make happy memories together.
G – Garden sale
Roll up your sleeves and break out your green thumb. Grow your own fruits, vegetables and flowers and sell them to raise money for Family Fund.
H – Help for a day
Offer to walk dogs, babysit, or do odd jobs in exchange for donations, helping your community and supporting families at the same time.
I – Ice cream
Take advantage of the hot weather and set up an ice cream stall, selling cool treats to your friends and neighbours.
J – Jumble for joy
Declutter and sell your things at a local car boot sale. Fund the small joys that can mean the world to a struggling family.
K – Karaoke
Host your own karaoke party and charge a small amount per song. Sing your heart out or cheer on others all night long.
L – Lottery
Play the Family Fund lottery for only £1 per week. You could be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000!

With long days and sunny weather, summer is the perfect time to do a sponsored run. Whether it’s a full marathon or a smaller 10k, you can set your own pace and run for charity.

Not quite up for a sponsored run? Go on a sponsored walk instead. Find a local nature trail and spend a sunny day hiking through the trees.
O – Open mic night
Bring your friends together to share stories, comedy, music or poetry, being brave on stage to support Family Fund.

Help support Family Fund’s future by pledging a regular monthly donation – no amount is too small.

Get in touch with our team and check out the volunteering opportunities we have available.
W – Wellbeing workshop
Run a craft, cooking or mindfulness workshop – help others feel good while raising money for a good cause.
X – Xtra mile challenge
Go the extra mile and take on a challenge for Family Fund. Whether that’s a water assault course, abseiling, skydiving, choose whatever gets your blood pumping!
Y – Yoga
Do you go to Yoga or another type of fitness class? Ask the instructor if they will host a one-off session with all fees supporting disabled and seriously ill children.
Z – Zzz for a night in
Hold a sponsored sleepover a cosy night in, you could play games and charge for snacks.
