Make a social story

Social stories help children with additional needs to develop a greater social understanding of how the world around them works, and help them stay safe.

Join this workshop and learn how to create a simple visual tool to help your family understand and cope with new situations.

We’ll use the free Canva website (or app) during the workshop to create a social story. Canva is available on any device (iPad, Android tablet, smartphone, laptop or PC).

Come along on Tuesday 27 January at 06:00pm to 07:00pm.

We’re holding this workshop online via Zoom. An experienced trainer and a member of staff from the Family Fund team will be there to support.

Please note

• This is a friendly, informal workshop for parents and carers of disabled or seriously ill children and young people.
• You’ll need to have a device to access the internet to take part in the workshop activities. 
• To keep your device free to use during the workshop, you will need to join the Zoom call on another device, such as a smartphone or laptop.
