Meet our latest photoshoot family!
This weekend we were up in Glasgow for a photoshoot with dad of two, Ali and his sons, Mohammad, 15, and Hamza, 11.
Ali and his family were kind enough to spend a few hours with us to share their experiences and daily life, capturing moments together. Ali’s oldest son, Mohammad is autistic which affects his development and communications, and means he needs a higher level of support with daily tasks like eating and dressing.
Life-changing support
Ali, who is a widower, was facing financial struggles before he accessed support through our Finances Online workshops, which helped him receive funds such as Child Benefit.
We granted his family a games console, which supports Mohammad’s understanding and development, as well providing him with a sense of independence, fun and achievement. Due to Mohammad’s support needs, being able to spend time gaming gives Ali a break as a single parent carer, as well creating an opportunity for Mohammad to play with his brother.
Building confidence
Ali said Mohammad’s smiles during the photoshoot speak for themselves:
“It was something different and we had a really good time. The boys enjoyed getting out into the park and playground and we now have some great pictures too.
The support that I received from Family Fund is something I can never forget. Whenever I speak to someone from the organisation, they’re always helpful and in a good mood. The help my family has received is life changing.”
