Specialist trikes / bikes

We provide grants to contribute towards the cost of a specialist trike or bicycle for disabled, or seriously ill, children and young people to suit their individual needs.

What can I apply for?

Would your child benefit from getting out and about on a trike or bike- for exercise, fun or greater independence? You can apply for specialist trike or bike grants for children and young adults.

When applying let us know:

  • what sort of trike or bike your child needs
  • a quote for your trike or bike needs
  • how the trike or bike will meet your child’s additional care needs

Our team will be in touch, if we need any further information to process your application. 

Grant conditions

Information:

Specialist trike or bike grants need to be used in full, within 12 months of the date on your grant award letter. These grants cover a contribution towards specialist trikes or bikes. We can’t, unfortunately, guarantee the full costs.

Grants for specialist trikes

We deliver specialist trike grants to help children get out and about for exercise, fun or greater independence. Six-year-old Xena has limited mobility and her new trike has helped her to spend more active time outside with her family.
