Daisy's Story

Daisy has a rare genetic mutation called SCN2A, which Jenny explains is “Different in every child, but for Daisy it’s caused complex epilepsy and Global Development Delay (GDD) so she struggles to pick up certain skills. I think smiling only came when she was about three years old.”
Millie's Story

Millie is 11 and lives in Darlington with her mum, dad and 15 year old sister, Maddison. Millie has been diagnosed with Down’s syndrome, a heart condition, and is being tested for autism.
Jack's Story

Jack has two very rare genetic conditions, RYR1 and HECW2, which affect his muscles and cause severe learning difficulties. He also has scoliosis, and uses a wheelchair full time. He is tube fed, and requires 24 hour care.
