When is the live workshop?

The live workshop for this unit will take place on Saturday 7 March at 1:30pm.

What will I learn in this unit?

This unit will cover using BandLab as a beginner. BandLab is a free, cloud based music creation platform that lets users take control of virtual instruments all online. You will learn:

• Record a simple drum or keyboard pattern
• Layer different sounds to create a simple composition
• Learn to combine sounds while keeping the tempo in time
• Add melody and harmony that are in tune

How do I pass this unit?

To claim the AQA awarded certificate, you must complete a learner assessment.

This should be very simple to do, once you have watched the workshop and created your own mini project in Scratch.

This assessment is available in Showbie – the learning system that Family Fund are using.

Where is the recorded workshop?

The recorded version of the workshop will be added here on Friday 13 February 2026.
