Create a social story

Family Fund will help you learn how to create a simple visual tool to help a young persons understanding and help them feel more comfortable with new situations and places.

What you’ll need

To create your own social story, you will need to create a FREE account for Canva – an online piece of software or app that can be used on any phone, tablet or computer.

Join an online workshop

Family Fund also hold a series of online workshops, where an experienced trainer will talk you through what a social story is and how to create one within Canva.

These are very friendly and informal, designed for parents and carers of disabled children. You’ll need a device to access the internet to take part in workshop activities, and to get the most out of this session, joining the call on a second device such as a smart phone, tablet or computer would really help.
