The role

You will be specifically responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of the day-to-day operations of Family Fund ensuring that we have the capability and capacity to deliver our goals and commitments to funders, whilst continuing to seek continuous improvement through the delivery of transformational projects.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Play a key role in the development of Family Fund’s strategic direction and plans, ensuring that the charity is equipped to fulfil its vision, aims and purpose. 
  • Translate the strategy into action by developing and implementing business plans for each operational function to ensure that the charity achieves its short and long-term objectives. 
  • Direct and oversee the work of Grant Services, ICT and Digital and Group Change Management.  
  • Responsible for ensuring that operations are efficient and effective and change is delivered to continuously improve the ways in which we provide support to families. 

This role would ordinarily be based in Monk’s Cross (York). The health and wellbeing of our staff is of paramount importance to Family Fund, and as a home-worker you will be given all the support you need to join the team remotely, and transition back into the office when it is appropriate to do so. 


About you

To be considered for this role you need to have experience of leading large teams and operational management across multiple departments. You must also have experience of working within a process orientated organisation and delivering work against targets. Other key criteria includes:

  • Managing a broad scope of responsibilities
  • Managing budgets
  • Project delivery and management
