Family Fund welcomes new 'Equality for Mental Health' campaign Family Fund welcomes calls for increased investment in the provision of mental health services. The new 'cross-party', 'cross-society' campaign, which is backed by over 200 public figures and celebrities is aiming to encourage Ministers 'to treat mental health equally with physical health', in the run up to the Autumn Statement at the end of November. The petition which is the centrepiece of the campaign features 'ten of the many concerns' they have, including the statement that 'people with long-term mental health conditions live on average 20 years less than the general population'.At Family Fund we believe that all families raising disabled and seriously ill children should have the same opportunities as others.
