Families are at our heart, and it is the importance of family that makes our partnership with McCain so unique. McCain, as a family business, appreciates the importance of family moments, making the time and taking the opportunities to be together, especially at mealtimes.

Over the next three years, McCain will donate £1 million to help us achieve our goal to provide 150,000 grants and services to families with disabled or seriously ill children. The grants will enable the families to purchase essential items critical to easing the strain of their day-to-day lives, from kitchen appliances such as fridges and ovens, to technology such as tablets and computers. The items will allow the families to spend more time together, such as during mealtimes, enabling them to take time for the little moments during the immensely challenging circumstances of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Alongside this pledge, McCain is also using its platforms to drive greater awareness around Family Fund and give a voice to our work. This includes a nationwide limited edition Family Fund pack of McCain Home Chips, designed by art competition winner Charlie Conway (10), whose family has been supported by us.

We are very excited that McCain have now launched a national primetime advertising campaign starring families we have supported, which is being featured across the UK’s top channels over the coming weeks.

In March 2021, we also teamed up with celebrity couple Paddy and Christine McGuinness to launch a new podcast series, Table Talk with Paddy and Christine. This podcast series aims to raise better awareness of the realities of daily life for families raising a disabled, or seriously ill child or young person. Each week the celebrity couple met with a family supported by Family Fund, to learn more about their family lives and hear personal, candid and heart-warming stories, family tips and more about the Family Fund support they’ve received.

And McCain’s efforts at raising awareness of Family Fund don’t stop here - look out for more exciting news over the next few weeks as further parts of the campaign are launched!
