Great North Run Terms of Entry Family Fund Terms and Conditions for guaranteed places in the Great North Run 2017. Great North Run, taking place on 10th September 2017 (the “Event”) Family Fund (“the Charity”) has reserved a limited number of places at this event for individuals who wish to volunteer to run in aid of the Charity. By accepting a place at the Event I agree with Family Fund that: Registration and participation On completion of the Runner Entry Form I will pay a registration fee of £30 in the form of a non-refundable donation as set out in our registration process. Once Family Fund has confirmed receipt of the Runner entry Form and donation of entry fee I will: register for the event directly with the race organiser in accordance with Family Fund’s instructions; set up a fundraising page on Family Fund’s website. I understand that in agreeing to these Terms and Conditions I am running in aid of Family Fund, at my own risk and will conduct my fundraising in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. I agree that Family Fund can share my details with the Event organiser for the purpose of runner registration. I will register for the event directly with the Event organiser as instructed by Family Fund and in doing so will read and accept the Event organiser’s own Terms and Conditions. I will inform Family Fund immediately if I am unable to take part in the Event. I agree in these circumstances that Family Fund will treat all sponsorship raised as a donation unless my sponsors contact Family Fund directly for a refund. Minimum fundraising target I pledge to raise a minimum of £200 in aid of Family Fund through my participation in the Event. I pledge to ensure Family Fund have received the minimum sponsorship six weeks before the event and that if I am unable to meet the minimum sponsorship, I will make up the minimum balance myself or accept that I may lose my place. Donations and payment terms I will keep details of the names and addresses of, and amounts donated or pledged by, all donors and provide such details to Family Fund on request. I will regularly pay all money collected in aid of Family Fund directly to the Charity by: Paying online with my credit or debit card, using my appeal page on Family Fund’s website (familyfund.org.uk) or a fundraising website such as www.justgiving.com or www.virginmoneygiving.com Sending cheques made payable to "Family Fund" to: The Fundraising Team, Family Fund, 4 Alpha Court, Monks Cross Drive, Huntington, York, YO32 9WN I will send an accompanying breakdown of how the money was raised and return all used sponsor forms. I will, if the sum of £200 has not been paid by 30th July 2017, pay the remainder from my own personal funds within one month of this date or in instalments to be agreed in writing with Family Fund, or lose my place. I recognise Family Fund will not treat previous donations as part of the sponsorship amount. Fundraising I will comply with any fundraising guidance or advice issued by Family Fund. I will collect money only in aid of Family Fund in connection with the Event. I will use only lawful means to fundraise for Family Fund and will not do anything that harms or is likely to harm the Family Funds reputation. I will not use the Family Fund’s logo without permission and will obtain all fundraising materials from Family Fund. My fundraising will not include: Raising funds by carrying out door-to-door or unsolicited collections; Collecting in any public place without first obtaining authorisation from the local authority and any other licences or consent that Family Fund require me to obtain; Collecting on private property (including shops, pubs, etc) without first obtaining permission of the owner of the private property; Conducting any raffle or lottery or putting on any public event without first contacting Family Fund and taking any steps which Family Fund require. I agree that Gift Aid payments cannot count towards the fundraising pledge and instead will be considered as over and above the pledged fundraising total. I agree that Family Fund can terminate my authority to fundraise in aid of them at any time by sending written notice to the address above. Personal data and images I give permission for the free use of my name, picture, image, feedback and comments in any future publicity, advertising, fundraising materials and/or promotion. I give permission for my personal information to be stored and used by Family Fund in connection with the organisation, promotion and administration of the Event. Health, safety and fitness I take part in the Event at my own risk and will not hold Family Fund or any connected persons responsible for any accident, injury or illness sustained to the fullest extent possible in law. I will fully prepare myself for the physical challenge of the Event and I will check with my doctor to ensure that I am medically fit to participate in the Event. I will comply with any health and safety and other rules or guidelines issued by Event organisers. Dates, changes and termination This agreement will be valid from the date on which I submit the race entry form until 31st December 2017, unless terminated earlier by Family Fund. Family Fund may vary or terminate this agreement by giving written notice to you. Declaration and signature By ticking the box, I confirm that I will be at least 17 years old by 10th September 2017 and I accept all the points stated in these terms and conditions.
