What can I apply for?
Is your family in need of a safe, outside space where you can spend quality time together? Garden improvement grants can cover your family’s safety needs, including things like fencing.
When applying for a garden improvement grant, you need to let us know:
what garden improvements you need
one or two quotes for the improvements needed
how garden improvements will meet your child’s additional care needs
Unfortunately we can’t assist with garden improvements if:
work should be provided by a statutory agency, for example access ramps or lowered curbs
permission has been refused by your council, or housing association
you live in private rented accommodation
Grant conditions
Information:
Garden improvement grants need to be used within 12 months of the date that your award letter was sent. These grants cover a contribution towards the garden works needed, we can’t, unfortunately, guarantee the full costs.
