Based in York, Family Fund is the UK's largest charity providing grants for families raising disabled children. Our dedicated Grant Delivery Team is responsible for processing grant applications and helping us to get vital support out to people who really need it.

The role

We are looking for a Grant Delivery Officer to work in the BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials team.  This is a great development opportunity offered on a temporary basis until 31 May 2023.

In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of application processing from initial administration through to the approval or decline of grant awards. This includes assessing the eligibility of applications made on behalf of children and young people to the Emergency Essentials programme by registered referrers. You will ensure that the grant programme criteria is implemented consistently, adhering to guidelines in all cases.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have working knowledge of, or a commitment to learn about grant delivery processes up to grant decision making level, using a grant making system. You must have experience of using and updating databases and ICT systems including MS Office applications. Attention to detail is essential. Experience of working with criteria based decision making in a target driven and fast paced environment is also required.
