What is it?

On 14 March we want you to put the kettle on with your friends, family, colleagues to help us support more families across the UK. The aim is to have hundreds of tea parties and bake sales all taking place on the same day.

Why are we doing it?

Although we helped over 89,000 grants and services to families last year, there are around 800,000 disabled children in the UK.

With your help, we can reach more and more families to provide support when they need it the most. From the stories and feedback you provide us, we know we make a huge difference. All money raised by you helps us to improve the support and services we can offer families.

Tell all your friends, family and work colleagues about your Great Family Fund Tea Party, share it on Facebook, put up posters, send invites - make sure it's in everyone's diary.

Keep it social – we would love to get updates on how it’s going, please use the #GFFTP hashtag when sharing on Facebook, twitter and instagram. We can't wait to see your tea cup selfies!

Get some volunteer bakers – friends, family, neighbours, colleagues or set some baking competitions to get those buns rolling in on the day.

We've created a pack of materials to help you roll out those gingerbread people, there's recipes, bunting, posters, doilies, selfie props and much more...

Use your collection box to encourage donations and make sure everyone completes the donation form ticking the Gift Aid box allowing Family Fund to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to you or the donor.  This makes a huge difference in raising more money to support families with disabled children.

Great Family Fund Tea Party day is 14 March, but if you cannot host your party on that day pick another date that suits you best.  If you can do it some other time in March, that is fantastic.

We've created a guide to support you through your Tea Party, there's information on how to host a party, why people should donate to Family Fund and much more...

After the party

Thank everyone who has attended the event and helped raise vital funds.
