Donations doubled for a limited time– our Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023

Between Tuesday 28 November and Tuesday 5 December, we’re raising funds to help families raising a disabled child access the information and support they need, and deserve.

Save the date!

Family Fund is once again taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge this year, to raise funds so we can provide vital information and support to even more UK families raising a disabled or seriously ill child.

We aim to raise over £13,000 in just one week. From midday on Tuesday 28 November to midday on Tuesday 5 December every donation you make over £1 will be doubled – at no extra cost to you.

95% of parents raising a disabled or seriously ill child on a low income tell us they want more information and support than they can currently access. These are families facing three times higher household costs. They also have to make complex decisions around their child’s care and education and experience exhausting caring responsibilities.

How your donation helps

At Family Fund, we support families raising disabled and seriously ill children with personalised information and resources. These help families access more money and benefits and budget plan. They also provide help with children’s education, mental health and wellbeing. Through one-to-ones and group sessions we also support families with digital training and creative workshops. 

All our resources aim to help families feel confident and empowered – so they have the same choices, quality of life, opportunities and aspirations as any other family. 

With your help, we can provide even more bespoke support to families who need it most.

What is The Big Give?

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is a nationwide match funding campaign that runs for seven days. During this time, every donation over £1 will be doubled by funds from our match pot, so your generous contribution goes even further. Last year the Christmas Challenge raised an incredible £28.5 million for UK charities.
