Family Fund provides grants for families on low incomes raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people. We are continuing to adapt to the impact of Covid-19 and are doing everything we can to ensure we provide this essential grant support when it is needed the most. Joining the team at this time, you will play a vital role in our fundraising marketing and communications activities, helping to reach intended audiences in the most effective way possible and ultimately increasing income generation.

As Fundraising and Marketing Officer you will lead on marketing and communications activities that enthuse and engage Family Fund’s fundraisers, volunteers, donors and corporate supporters to take action. This includes the development of creative content, messaging, and leading on marketing and communications plans for targeted fundraising audiences.

Main duties include:

  • Working collaboratively with the fundraising and communications teams to develop and implement marketing and communications plans for a variety of fundraising income streams.
  • Planning and leading on the delivery of marketing campaigns for individual giving appeals and evaluating their success, using data to inform changes to the campaigns as they progress to maximise engagement.
  • Managing the development and delivery of the fundraising marketing and communications plan.
  • Managing external agency work for individual giving campaigns to ensure a high standard of supporter-led communications.
  • Leading on the development and monitoring of consistent key fundraising messages across the organisation.
  • Working closely with key functions in the fundraising and communications team to ensure a joined up approach to fundraising and supporter communications that compliments the work of the wider organisation.

You should be an excellent communicator, possess strong written and document presentation skills and be able to collaborate effectively. Organised and hard-working, you should be a pro-active self-starter that is both adaptable and resilient to work demands and committed to achieving the objectives of our fantastic organisation.

This role would ordinarily be based at our offices in Monk’s Cross (York) however, as a result of Covid-19, we have transitioned this team to enable them to work effectively from home. The health and wellbeing of our staff is of paramount importance to us and as a home-worker you will be given all the support you need to join our team remotely, and transition back into the office when it is appropriate to do so.
