Having recently caught the running bug in the last year or so, the idea of large-scale organised runs such as the York 10K has begun to pique my interest. I like the idea of the challenge but it's always nice to have some motivation, and what better motivation could there be than knowing your efforts might just make life a bit easier, happier, or a bit less stressful for families who are raising a child with a disability or disabilities? Family Fund performs great work across the country by doing just that, and by sponsoring me to run the York 10K you could be doing the same.

As a father of two, I can relate to how tiring and draining parenthood can be, but can only begin to imagine how parents and families of disabled or seriously ill children might struggle at times. It would be so great to know that I've made life even a little bit easier for someone, somewhere.

I'm hoping to raise at least £500 for this great cause (hopefully more!), but of course, every penny counts. I and others would be incredibly grateful if you were to generously consider sponsoring me, and I may even buy you a pint one day! I know I'm definitely going to need one after the run... ;-P

Thank you!
