We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our hard working First Contact Team, to provide much needed information and assistance to families and supporters contacting us. As a First Contact Team Officer you will provide the appropriate level of information, advice and support to families through all contact channels as well as effectively identifying appropriate referral opportunities. Now, more than ever, people need the support of this vital team and you will be communicating with people in need of the advice and guidance you will provide. You will have experience of dealing with telephone enquiries in a customer services environment and be able to provide appropriate levels of information, advice and support to families through all contact channels. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, good keyboard skills, and be comfortable and competent using Windows-based computer systems. Perhaps most importantly you should come to us with the ability to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner, and in a high-pressure environment. This post is based at the charity’s offices in Monks Cross in York. The charity has effectively adapted both working practices and the physical working environment to ensure the health and safety of all office staff, which is of paramount importance during these times.
