Salary – £21,651

Full time 35 hours per week

The number of families we support increases each year, but there are many more eligible for our help who do not know about our grants and other support. This role builds relationships and runs engagement events and activities with families raising disabled children, along with related groups and other potential supporters, in order to promote our grant-making activities, services and related projects and campaigns.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, you’ll be responsible for linking Family Fund with families across the UK through online and offline activities, including social media, group meetings, conferences, workshops and other events.

The successful candidate will be motivated and driven in order to identify and engage families raising disabled children in priority locations throughout the UK; working with key organisations and groups at a local level to promote the work of the Fund.  You will help develop and promote volunteering opportunities, engaging with those who wish to support our work.

The successful candidate will have experience of networking and developing relationships with individuals and organisations, as well as recruiting and managing volunteers and supporters. You’ll be a resourceful self-starter with excellent communication, organisation and people skills. This role will require a significant amount of UK travel, with occasional overnight stays.

For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Jim Paterson, Head of Communications on 01904 571094.
