Want to build on your video editing skills? Sign up to our ‘Making movies’ workshop! This workshop is part of this year’s Sumer School programme.

In this session we will learn about creating an historical or factual documentary. We’ll explore research skills and collecting facts and images to help us create the final film. And of course, we'll have fun with iMovie (a free download from the App Store) to create the documentary!

In the workshop, we will cover:

  • Creating a new Movie Project
  • Adding photos and videos from the photo library
  • Editing clip length and choosing transitions
  • Adding titles
  • Creating voice overs
  • Working with green screens
  • Adding music
  • Sharing the final film

This workshop will be held on Tuesday 26 July, online via Zoom with a staff member from the Family Fund team*.

Click here to sign up for the workshop by completing our online registration form.

*We will be running four Making Movies workshops this summer: Tuesday 26 July at 10am, Wednesday 3 August at 1pm, Monday 8 August at 10am, and Wednesday 17 August at 10am. This last session will designed for children with a vision impairment, although all are welcome. Click on the dates to go through to that workshops listing.

Remember, you can sign up for as many summer school sessions as you like. It’s first come, first served but we’ll do our best to find you an alternative if your chosen session is full.
