Free iPad digital skills workshops are available where you can learn more about iCloud and AppStore, using the internet, how to support reading and writing and all the accessibility features.  You just need to bring your iPad with you and sign up below.  If you cannot make a particular timed slot, you can still come along and speak to our iPad trainer for some hints and tips.

Soft play area is available for children to use as well as our sensory toy area provided by Learning SPACE.

Details of the digital workshops:

11am: Accessibility

This session will look at how iPad can be customised to address a range of needs connected to vision, hearing, motor and learning challenges and how to locate and access resources.

12pm: Managing iCloud and iTunes

This will explore the services offered by Apple’s iCloud and how these can benefit families in terms of shared calendars, reminders, photo albums and location tracking, as well as how to safely manage iTunes purchases.

1pm: Supporting Reading and Writing

This session looks at how to use the built-in apps to develop reading, writing, speaking and research skills with a focus on web-browsing, note-taking, recording and dictation.
